- Description
- U.S. Army CECOM intends to award a five (5) year Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for the purchase of a maximum quantity of 2,050 each Advanced Flight Control Computers (AFCCs). This is a sole source procurement per FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). Only one responsible source. Hamilton Sundstrand, One Hamilton Road, Windsor Locks, CT 06096, is the only source capable of meeting the Government's requirements. Hamilton Sundstrand developed and successfully tested the AFCC. While there are other manufacturers of flight control systems, only Hamilton Sundstrand's AFCC meets the form, fit and function (F3) and Air-Worthiness Requirements of the Blackhawk helicopter. The government intends to utilize Alpha Contracting techniques to achieve an aggressive award schedule. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. However, it is requested that any such source notify the Contracting Officer of their intent to submit a proposal within two days of this announcement. The solicitation package will be posted on the Interagency Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) within two days from date of this notice. All parties interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the BOP at: http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. Registration for a user ID and password will only be necessary when you are considering the submission of CECOM proposals through the BOP.
