Description

UNICOR FPI intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinte Quantity type contract to CIBA Specialty Chemicals, 4050 Premier Drive, High Point, NC 27265, for the sale of compound wetting agent (dyes) for making all terry products inclduing washcloth and towels for the US Penitentiary, Terre Haute, Indiana. There are four line items. Line Item 0001 -- Part Number: CHG0543,(Qty: 74,088 Lbs) Compound, Wetting-agent, Albegal, FFA, Line Item 0002 -- Part Number: CHG1202, (Qty: 10,560 Lbs) Cibacron, yellow, F-3r, Powder, Line Item 0003 -- Part Number: CHG1203, (Qty: 3,520 Lbs)Cibacron, Scarlet, F-36, Powder, Line Item 0004 -- Part Number: CHG1204, (Qty: 4,400 Lbs)Cibacron, Navy, FG, Powder. The period of performance will be from Date of Award thru two (2) years. Delivery Acceptance is 15 days after receipt of the delivery order. FOB Destination is USP Terre Haute, IN. CIBA Specialty Chemicals is the only source for providing this item. Additional information will be provided in the solicitation which is due to be issued on or about July 31, 2001. All interested offerors shall identify their interests in writing and fully document their capability to meet the Agency's requirements by forwarding in writtng to the attention of Joscie L. Barnes, Contracting Officer, UNICOR, FPI Clothing/Textiles -- 6th Floor, 400 First Street, NW, Washington, DC 20534. All responsible sources shall be considered. All responses shall be received not later than August 3, 2001 at 2:00 pm to determine that a comparable source is available, or is more advantageous to the Government. Negotiations will take place with CIBA Specialty Chemicals. See Note 22.
