Description

The VAMC Birmingham requires full service maintenance and repair services for the Pitney Bowes equipment, Base Unit Model No. F400/F430; Insert Feeder Model # F401/F431; Folder Model # F402/F432; Sheet Feeder Model # F413/F434; Cutter Conveyor Model # 3642/F431 and Cutter Model 3929, which includes all labor, supervision, and parts, necessary to maintain the listed equipment in operational condition according to manufacturer's specifications. The contractor shall perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) to be performed at the intervals specified in the solicitation. These inspections are to be scheduled at least three (3) days in advance with the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) and are to be performed within the first five (5) working days of each of the months specified above. PMIs will be performed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and will include, as a minimum, the following: visual inspection, calibration checks, cleaning and lubrication, electrical checks, and performance checks. The period of this contract will be 10-1-01 through 9-30-02 with four (4) one-year renewal options. Estimated solicitation issue date is O/A August 17, 2001.
