Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-R-0127 is hereby issued as a request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation, Statement of Work, and technical specifications will be available on the Internet at www.crane.navy.mil. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 as well as DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 333911 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 Axial Piston Pump Repairs, Minimum 18 EA @ $ IDIQ Minimum Qty 18 EA, Maximum Qty -- 40 EA CLIN 0002 Indefinite Quantity Axial Piston Pump Repairs -- YEAR 1 PRICING 0002AA Order Quantity 1 -- 7 EA @ $ 0002AB Order Quantity 8 -- 15 EA @ $ 0002AC Order Quantity 16 -- 22 EA @ $ CLIN 0003 Indefinite Quantity Axial Piston Pump Repairs -- YEAR 2 PRICING 0003AA Order Quantity 1 -- 7 EA @ $ 0003AB Order Quantity 8 -- 15 EA @ $ 0003AC Order Quantity 16 -- 22 EA @ $ The axial piston pumps go into Hydraulic Test Stands, NSN 4920-00-93-6310. A pump will be made available at NAVAIRSEFAC, Solomons, MD, for inspection for any interested vendor. Vendors shall contact Ms. Michelle Chestnut if interested. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination, NAVAIRSEFAC, Solomons, MD within 98 days after award. Final inspection will be at NAVAIRSEFAC, Solomons, MD. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Price evaluation for CLIN 0001 -- 0003 will be conducted using the average price for the various ordering quantities. For purposes of price evaluation only, it will be assumed that in addition to the minimum requirement of 18 units, 12 units of the remaining 22 units will be procured during the two years of the contract as follows; Year 1 4 units, Year 2 8 units. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
