Description

Solicitation N00421-01-Q-0471 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed contract on a sole source basis with CMC Electronics, Inc., 600 Dr. Frederick Philips Blvd., Ville Saint-Laurent, Montreal, QC, H4M 2S9 for the part numbers listed below. This action is under the authority of FAR Part 6.3. The contract line item numbers and descriptions are: **CLIN 0001 Quantity 270each P/N 245-812235-000, Fiber Assembly RX (ST) for use with the CMC Electronics' Audio Monitoring System (AMS). These Fiber Assemblies are unique to the above mentioned AMS and available only through CMC Electronics, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Award is expected 20 August 2001. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all quotes received by 15 August 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
