Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, asbestos abatement, supplies and supervison for Project 620-01-102, Elevators, Building 3 at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Montrose Campus, Montrose, NY. Work includes, but is not limited to teh following; (1) Install a new hydraulic elevator andn replace an existing cable elevator with hydraulic elevator; (2) Selective demoliton, relocation and patching; (3) Selective asbestos removal including floor tile, cove base and heatring pipe insulation; (4) Cosntruction of new space for personnel that are displaced due to the addition of the new elevator. These include an office, waiting room and a critical care unit; (5) New wall construction including finishes; (6) Installation of a new drop ceiling, inlcuding new ligth fixtures and light switches; (7) installation of new doors and asociated accessories; (8) Installation of new floor tiles to match surrounding colored tiles; (8) Consstruction of a mini reception station unit to include countertop, desk space, drawers, file cabinets, and other accessories; (10) Installation of new sinks, accessoreis and associated piping; (11) Installation of elevator power units, controllers, jacks, cylinders, casings, slings, cabs, doors, frames, fixtures and other miscellaneous accessores; (12) Modifications and additions to the existing sprinkler system; (13) Structural work, including new hoistway. footings lintels, framing and miscellaneous accessories; (14) Electrical work, including power and protective devices for all new equipment, distribution pnels, lighting fixtures, exit lights, motor starters, disconnect switches, conduit and wiring, smoke detectors, thermostats, ,dampers and louvers, control wiring and miscellaneous switches, boxes, ,receptcles, and tie-in work (to normal and emergency power); (15) Ensure that fire protection measures and raatings are met with teh new cosntruction by sealing all wall adn floor penetrations, installing smoke detectors and fire dampers in duct work, providing additional sprinkler protection and by tying ini controls to the existing fire alarm system. Completion time is 330 calendar days. Estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1 million.
