Description

The work to be performed includes furnishing and placing approximately 800 tons of 36-inch minus riprap on the upstream face of Lovewell Dam, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The original riprap was removed when an access trail was constructed from the crest of the dam down and across the embankment face. The dimensions of the trail are 12 to 14 feet in width and approximately 375 feet in length. The work is above the normal operating level of the reservoir, water surface elevation of 1582.6 (Top of Conservation Pool). The work is located at Lovewell Dam in Jewel County, North Central Kansas, approximately 20 miles northwest from Bellville, Kansas, or approximately 10 miles south of Superior, Nebraska. The estimated price range of the work is $25,001.00 to $100,000.00. The Request For Quotes (RFQ) will be made available on or around August 17, 2001, and quotes are due in this office on or before Close of Business (COB) August 31, 2001. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1629. The North American Industry Classification System code is 23499. The Small Business Size Standard is $17,000,000.00.
