As these supplies will be used for testing on the Abbott PPC Commander and IMX Systems for Viral Marker Testing, the acquisition will be negotiated on a sole source basis to Abbot Labs and/or their authorized distributor for Guam. The procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition, will be utilized. The RFQ will be issued on or about 06 Aug 01 and close on or about 13 Aug 01. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. =20
