Description

Contractor shall provide all plant, asphalt materials, equipment, tools and labor required to perform the work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings to maintain and repair existing pavements and to construct new pavements on Elmendorf AFB, AK. and Fort Richardson, AK. Work consists of but not limited to: All base roads, parking lots, driveways, bike paths, golf cart paths, all base airfield pavements which include all taxiways, runways, aprons, airfield roads and hangar floors. The pavement work items include, but not limited to: asphalt and concrete paving, crack sealing, joint sealing, spall repairs, pothole repairs, replace curbs and gutters, replace concrete sidewalks, handicap access, pavement markings, base course and sub-base work and others. Magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance period is 22 September 2001 through 21 September 2002 for the Base Year and 365 calendar days for the First Option Year. Solicitation will be available on or about 15 July 2001 with a closing date of 15 August 2001. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The package, with the specifications and drawings, will be available only through the Electronic Posting System (EPS) @ http://www.fedbizops.gov. This project is open to both large and small business and is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Large businesses are required to submit a sub-contracting plan under this solicitation
