Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are hereby requested and a separate solicitation will not be issued. The following clauses are applicable to subject solicitation: FAR 52.212-1 (Instructions to Offerors), FAR 52.212-2 (Evaluation-Commercial Items), FAR 52.212-3 (Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items), FAR 52.212-4 (Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items) and 52.212-5 (Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement statutes or executive orders-Commercial Items). In accordance with clause 52.212-2, the evaluation factors shall be based on price and price related factors. This is a competitive acquisition to purchase NON-TOXIC, LEAD FREE AMMUNITION. This acquisition is for 1,170,000 ea 5.56mm Ball, lead free, non-toxic cartridges, 662,000 ea 9mm ball, lead free, non-toxic cartridges and 211,200 ea 5.56mm ball linked, lead free, non-toxic cartridges. This non-toxic, lead free ammunition is for use on Air Force Reserve Command, Small Arms Ranges. NOTE 1: Chamber pressure of RA9DF 9MM round cannot exceed 38,500 PSI maximum SAAMI specification. Chamber pressure of RA556JF cannot exceed 52,000 PSI maximum SAAMI specification. NOTE 2: All ammunition procured by the United States Air Force must be certified by the USAF Nonnuclear Munitions Safety Board (NNMSB) located at Eglin AFB FL. NOTE 3: Award will be made on an "ALL OR NONE" basis. NOTE 4: All offerors must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration program (CCR) prior to consideration for award of any DOD contract/purchase order.
