- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to procure a replacement of it's general inquiry menu voice process application (410-965-1234) with a new interactive voice response (IVR) system that employs state-of-the-art technology in speech recognition and spoken language understanding to eliminate the need for callers to navigate their way through menus using touch-tones and directed speech. Any acceptable IVR system must have functioned in a production environment that employed speech recognition with spoken language understanding and that has processed over 1,000 calls per day. This acquisition is being conducted utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Written requests for the associated solicitation RFQ-01-1234 package should be submitted within ten (10) calendar days from this publication date. The approximate date for RFQ release is August 15, 2001.
