Description
This synopsis is issued as a notice of a proposed contract action. The U.S. Customs Service has a requirement for kenneling for 40 -- 50 canines in southern California. There are very specific minimum qualifications for the kennel facility. They include, but are not limited to the following: (1) the kennel must be located within 30 miles of the Ports of Entry at San Ysidro, California and Otay Mesa, California; (2) the Customs Service must have 24 hours a day, seven days a week access to the kennel. The kennel must meet all requirements listed in the Statement of Work at the time of contract award. A site inspection will be conducted prior to contract award. The Department of Labor Wage Determination, which includes the minimum hourly wage and fringe benefits, applies to this requirement. It is anticipated that an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract will be awarded for this requirement. The period of performance shall be from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2006. This requirement is set aside for small business. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The size standard is $5.0 million in annual receipts. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 11521. Any interested contractor may obtain a copy of the solicitation by expressing their interest to Carol A.
