Description

The project description and title are changes to read as follows: DREDGING FUEL PIER CHANNEL AND YACHT MARINA CHANNEL, LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, HAMPTON, VIRGINIA AND NEW WORK DREDGING, BACK RIVER, MESSICK POINT, POQUOSON, VIRGINIA. The project Base Bid consists of the preparation, maintenance, and final grading of an upland placement site for dredged material, dredging a Fuel Pier Channel to a required depth of 13 feet MLW, New Work Dredging Messick Point Channel and Turning Basin to a required depth of 7 feet MLLW, and Optional Bid Item dredging at the Yacht Marina to a required depth of 5 feet MLW, each with one foot of allowable overdepth. The Fuel Pier Channel and Yacht Marina sites of the work are located on Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia and the Messick Point Channel and Turning Basin dredging is on Back River in Poquoson, Virginia. The Contractor shall perform the scheduled work with a hydraulic dredge and pipeline and place the dredged material in the same Government-furnished placement area as indicated for each respective dredging area. The work, including allowable overdepth and estimated accretion, at the Fuel Pier Channel involves dredging approximately 220,000 cubic yards of material, the Messick Point Channel and Turning Basin involves dredging approximately 27,400 cubic yards of material, and the Yacht Marina Channel involves dredging approximately 2,000 cubic yards of material. Construction Time is 150 calendar days. This is a SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT. Applicable SIC code is 1629, with a size standard of $27.5 million. The NAICS code is 23499.
