Description

The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure ground support equipment, spares and technical publications in support of the Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The Predator UAVs to be supported are part of the U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Operational Test Bed System. The instant requirement is to meet the U.S. Joint Forces Command's requirements through 30 September 2002. FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure the required equipment and technical publications from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements" as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. General Atomics is the original equipment manufacturer for the Predator and the only source that can provide the ground support equipment, spares and technical publications that meet the Government's requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the specified response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336413. Numbered Notes 22 and 26 apply.
