Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Teradyne to procure the universal serial bus capability to be used for the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) station. The serial bus capability must provide support for multiple simultaneous serial channels. The serial capability must be provided in VXI format and must provide the ability to margin voltage and timing parameters, including inter-message gap delays and message response times. The serial data streams need to be integrated with the Digital Subsystem of the CASS station (P/N M900-01) to provide synchronous communications between parallel bus and serial bus tests. It is anticipated that this requirement may include modification to the existing CASS station AX2.02 software and M900-012 hardware. As the designer, developer, integrator and original equipment manufacturer of the original M900-01 subsystem and associated software, Teradyne is the only known company that possesses the experience, knowledge and technical expertise to perform these requirements within the timeframe required. The Government does not own the specifications, source code, drawings or data. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
