Description

This solicitation is to obtain services to include tree thinning (requies thinning, slash treatment, bucking, lopping and scattering, handpiling of slash and related work), riparian fence construction (requires construction of four strand barbed wire, rock jack and steel post fence with 6 gates), removal of 3 wooden toilets (requires removing toilet building and base, hauling of building while preserving their condition to separate designated locations in the Lostine River corridor), and maintenance of 25,400 meters of trail (requires logging out, brush cutting, and loose rock removal) at various locations. This includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, inspections and incidental. Handpiling may occur consecutively to or concurrently with the thinning item. The project is located on the Wallowa Valley Ranger District, Wallowa County, Oregon. The estimated start work date is September 30, 2001.
