Description

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking sealed bids for IFB -- C-1070 for Contract 1Z7029. The work in this Contract includes design, procurement, installation and testing of communications systems to be incorporated in the new mezzanine at the Mt. Vernon -- Convention Center Station in support of the new D.C. Convention Center. Scope of work involves furnishing, installing and testing the following systems: Fire & Intrusion Alarm System (FIA), Telephone System and Instruments, modify and install additional Passenger Reporting System (PERS), Automatic Public Address Announcement System (APAAS), Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV), Kiosk Systems, Electrical Power Distribution System (PWR), Public Address System (PAS) for Mt. Vernon Square Convention Center Passenger Station to support station operations with the new passageway mezzanine, and elevators, complete with wireless microphone, and equipment in communications equipment rooms and all station kiosks. Estimated cost range is $800,000. to $2,500,000. Work to be completed within 440 cbs after NTP. We will hold a preconstruction conference at 9:00 A.M. on August 29, 2001 at Jackson Graham Building Meeting Room, at 600 Fifth Street, N.W., followed by a site visit.
