- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR 13 and the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 clauses may be accessed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), DAKF61-01-Q-0072 and is due by COB 15 August 2001. This RFQ is set aside 100% for small business, the SIC code is 3999, the NAICS code is 339999, the small business size standard is 500 employees. A fixed price contract is anticipated with one line item. CLIN 0001 Fiberglass Target Pit Covers or similar material, sizes may vary slightly from range to range. Contractor must contact Mr. Terry Hoff, 608-388-3004 for a site visit to finalize sizes and design. Covers will be fiberglass or similar material, and dark in color. Covers must protect target pit from snow/rain entering pit when cover is in place. Cover will be made to a thickness to withstand repeated rough handling and transport. Maximum weight is 40 pounds. Brush seal must be flexible enough to fold out of space plastic target occupies, while sealing out blowing snow, etc. Drawings can be requested by e-mail from the Contract Specialist, dawn.sharp@emh2.mccoy.army.mil Target covers are to be delivered to Fort McCoy, WI 54656 by the 20th of November 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered. The following Provisions and Clauses are applicable: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial; 52.212-2 Evaluation of Commercial Items (i) Technical capability of the item to meet stated requirement, (ii) Price, (iii) past performance; para (b) technical capability and past performance when combined are equally as important as price. In accordance with FAR 39.106, the contractor shall ensure that the offered product is Year 2000 compliant. PARTIES INTERESTED IN RESPONDING TO RFQ may submit their quote in accordance with standard commercial practice (i.e. quote form, letterhead, etc.) and MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: solicitation number, (DAKF61-01-Q-0072), offerors complete mailing and remittance address, discount terms, unit price, warranty information, product literature, Offerors DUNS #___________________CAGE Code_________, and completed FAR 52.212-3.
