Description

This solicitation DAAE30-01-Q-0455 closing date has been extended to August 17, 2001. The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Product Manager Small Arms, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, has a requirement for a Shooter's Stock Pack which shall attach to the buttstock of the M24 Sniper weapon. It shall conceal, store, and protect items like the PVS-10 reticle adjustment turret covers, electro- optic batteries, as well as miscellaneous small tools, windmeter, etc. The stock pack shall contain a synthetic leather surface on the "strong" side of the buttstock for the shooter's comfort. The shooter's stock pack shall feature a zipper for opening and closing of the pouch. The stock pack shall allow for long action bolt travel. The government intends to acquire a commerical item using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on the TACOM-ARDEC Acquisition Center website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil on or about 02 Aug, 2001.
