Description

DOE intends to solicit a proposal and negotiate with the National Accelerator Center (NAC) in South Africa for a sole source, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price contract (DE-AC01-01NE23201) to supplement the Department's production capabilities, production of radioisotopes or irradiation services. The proposed contract covers target irradiations performed by NAC for the Department to produce Sr-82 and Ge-68. All targets will be irradiated by NAC at its facility and shipped to the Department's national laboratory for processing. The contract will be for a three-year base period with two, one-year options periods and the total estimated value will be $5,000,000. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS OR AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, NOR DOES IT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
