Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to negotiate a Purchase Order with the Transportation Research Board to Co-Sponsor the Third National Community Impact Assessment Workshop. The workshop will provide a national forum to educate participants on issues that concern transportation and the human environment. Additionally there will be workshops to discuss the implementation of the Community Impact Assessment in transportation decisionmaking. The Community Impact Assessment Workshop will be working with the Transportation Research Board in conjunction with the Joint Subcommittee and FHWA network with a panel of experts who are experienced in organizing national conferences and workshops who are knowledgeable of federal requirements, limitations, and have extensive experience with multi-funded events related to transportation. Because the Transportation Research Board has the history in working with the FHWA in planning, knowledge about the transportation process, administrative, logistical and the Transportation Research Board has the financial expertise which will be needed for the project they are the only known source available that can develop the workshops for the FHWA. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is August 17, 2001
