See Numbered Note (1). This procurement is a 100% small business set aside. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-01-T-0222 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-10. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333293 and the small business size is 500 employees. This requirement is for a fixed priced contract for one item as follows: Clin 0001 -- Laser System Engraver, Aurora 50 Watt 100 IPS Xenetech or (EQUAL) with an air colled tube, 100 inch per second movement/ engraving, speed control from .001 to 100 IPS Quantity (1) each. Delivery of this item is required 30 days after contract award. Pricing should be quoted destination pricing to: NAVSTA PASCAGOULA, FISC Receiving Officer BLDG 50, Pascagoula MS 39595-3500. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Item applies. Quoters are required to complete and include a copy of the following provisions with their proposals: FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items and FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Also DFARS 252.225-7000 -- Buy American Act -- Balance of Payment Program Certification applies. Clause FAR 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside and clause DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration apply. The government intends to make a single award to the responsible contractor whose quotation is the most advantageous to government considering price factors and delivery factors. Quotations must be received not later than 4:00pm local time, 09 Aug 01. Quotations sent via the US Postal Service should be mailed to Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, NAVSTA Bldg 50, Pascagoula MS 39595-3500. All quotations not sent through the US mail will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand deliver to NAVSTA Pascagoula, Bldg 50, Pascagoula MS 39595-3500 during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 4:00p.m. Faxed Quotations will be accepted during those hours. *************
