NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 1 Library Manager App SW, P/N 206071; 1 Analog Designer App SW- Support, 2 years, floating licenses, P/N 206070RE; 10 Design Capture App SW- Support, 2 year, floating licenses, P/N 206052RE; 3 Expedition PCB Pinnacle App SW- Support, 2 year, floating licenses, P/N 206140RE; 2 FPGA Advantage Pers VLOG App SW- Support, 2 year, floating licenses, P/N 204467RE; 2 FPGA BoardLink Op SW- Support, 2year, floating licenses, P/N 206051RE; 1 Library Manager App SW- Support, 2 year, floating licenses, P/N S206070E. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Mentor Graphics 1811 Pike Rd., Longmont, CO 80501, on a sole source basis. The items required are available only from the original source as this is a follow on contract for highly specialized equipment for existing software and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements in accordance to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are requested to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, the appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the time stated below, with or without the required information, will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. All responses shall be submitted to Sean Howe no later than August 10th, 2001.
