Description

The Integrated Aviation Systems 21 Working Group (IAS21WG) proposes to acquire on a full and open competitive basis sixty-five (65) Laptop PC Systems, with associated specified internal components and associated peripherals, in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) PC based mission planning. Generally, the Laptop PC System will be configured with the following: Pentium III with a 1.0 Ghz processor or greater; 512MB (2 DIMMS) of RAM; HDD capacity of 32MB or greater; Video RAM of 32 MB or greater; 15 inch Active Matrix display with minimum resolution of UXGA; Media (DVD-ROM, FDD, Zip Drive) will be internal and "hot swappable"; Internal NIC/Modem Combo. These systems shall meet or exceed specified performance capabilities, must have expansion and growth capacity for additional hardware integration and software evolution and must be compatible with Windows 2000. The system warranty shall be for three (3) years on all parts, labor and shipping. Vendors are cautioned that proposed systems may need to be benchmarked/tested, at vendor expense, to insure compatibility with evolving specialized mission planning software. The Government contemplates a "best value" award, with award not necessarily going to the lowest priced, compliant vendor. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price type contract will be awarded. Delivery will be F.O.B. Destination to Ft. Eustis, Virginia 23604-5577 within 30 days after contract award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Government.
