Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Lightspeed Software, 1800 19th Street, Bakersfield, CA for the renewal of annual maintenance on current licenses installed at State Disability Determination Services (DDS) Offices for the period October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002. Software maintenance shall include technical support and updates. SSA has Lightspeed software products currently licensed and installed on various WANG VS mini-systems located in the State DDS? throughout the United States. As the original manufacturer of Lightspeed NVS and its options, Lightspeed Software is considered the only source for the annual software maintenance. Interested parties must respond to this notice by August 17, 2002. Responsible organizations possessing the requisite expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning their pricing, capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data (including GSA Contract information). Identify your respond as LIGHTSPEED-0118. If SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing the software maintenance, SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition-Test Program to Lightspeed Software of Bakersfield, CA. Note: This is a notice of intent not a request for marketing information on other products. The Government does not intend to pay for information provided.
