Description

MT PFH 83-1(3), STILLWATER RIVER ROAD, Custer National Forest, Stillwater County, Montana. Initial notice posted to Commerce Business Daily CBDNet on July 24, 2001 and printed issued date of July 26, 2001. BY ISSUE OF THIS MODIFICATION WE ANNOUNCE THIS SOLICITATION AS FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. Presolicitation notices are being sent to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the publication of this synopsis. This work consists of 3.983 kilometers of grading, replacing drainage, constructing new base, and placing new pavement. The project consists of construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; soil erosion control devices; clearing & grubbing; monuments & markers; 7,000 cu m watering for dust control; removal of 1 ea structural culvert; removal of 17 ea pipe culverts; removal of 75 signs; 40,000 cu m excavation & embankment; 12,300 cu m borrow; 4,220 sq m earthwork geotextiles; 95 m riprap, ditch lining; 36,400 t untreated aggregate courses; 21 km dust palliative; 13,700 t emulsified asphalt treated base course; 8,900 t hot asphalt concrete pavement; 490 m culverts; 6,700 m fence; 43,790 sq m topsoil; 57 slry units seeding & mulching; 15,000 m permanent pavement markings; 3,000 flagger hrs; 600 pilot car hrs; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 48 km SW of Columbus, Montana. Work shall be completed by September 9, 2002. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000.
