Description

Principle components of the work under this acquisition include: (1) excavating pipe trenches and open drain; (2) constructing buried perforated polyethylene pipe drains with sand filter and gravel envelope; (3) refilling excavations with compacted backfill; (4) constructing fiberglass manholes; (5) constructing concrete weir box; and (6) incidental construction including, but not limited to clearing and grubbing, stripping and replacing topsoil, and seeding. The estimated price range of the work is $250,000 to $500,000. The work is situated at Enders Dam, approximately 2.5 miles southeast of Enders, Nebraska in Chase County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available 08/31/2001. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before 09/18/2001. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 10/02/2001, at the Bureau of Reclamation, McCook Field Office, 1706 W 3rd, R.R.1, McCook, Nebraska 69001. The contract is to be completed within approximately 220 calendar days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be reviewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Region Office, Room 2031, Federal Building, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana; or at the McCook Field Office listed above. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The small business size standard is $27.5 million, and NAICS code is 234990.
