Description
THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The work will involve sealing 1074 linear feet of existing in place cold rolled steel sheet piling interlocks with a urethane based product. The Contractor shall provide all materials and equipment and perform all labor to seal the steel sheet pile interlocks. The products used to seal the interlocks will include a polyurethane foam, a spray elastomer, and an epoxy primer. The steel sheet pile joints will be filled and sealed with the above mentioned products. Prior to filling and sealing the joints shall be thoroughly cleaned of all dirt above the existing backfill line. The open sides of the interlock joints will first be sealed with a polyurethane foam. Prior to application of the foam and to ensure adhesion of the polyurethane foam to the steel sheet piling, the steel surfaces will be primed with an epoxy primer. After the foam has set, the entire volume of each joint between the elevations specified shall be completely filled with fast acting polyurethane.
