- Description
- Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate, RF Sensor Division (AFRL/SNRW) solicits research proposals on Fratricide Avoidance Using Transform Domain Techniques. A crucial component toward meeting the operational challenges of the 21st century is information superiority. Information superiority allows us to collect, process, and disseminate information while denying the enemy its ability to do the same through the use of Electronic Warfare (EW). Jammers must perform effectively over an area of engagement that contains both friendly and adversarial forces. Our ability to dominate will depend on having access to the electromagnetic spectrum without causing fratricide, i.e. generating electromagnetic interference (EMI) to our own systems. This problem applies to standoff jammers (COMPASS CALL), unmanned airborne jammers (UAV), and ground based distributive jammers (WOLFPACK). The objective of this effort is to investigate and develop new technologies for improving Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), specifically, avoiding self-interference (fratricide) and improving EMI effects. Interested offerors may view and/or download the full PRDA solicitation by accessing the Electronic Posting System (EPS) homepage at http://www.eps.gov/. Direct questions to the Contracting point of contact identified in the announcement.
