Description
Contractor shall furnish all necessary personnel, facilities, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to perform professional services for the field assessment and National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) determination of eligibility (DOE) evaluations for historic structures located on seven Civilian Conversation Corps (CCC) complexes, seven other sites and ten lookouts on the Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. The evaluation shall determine whether the properties are eligible for the NRHP by applying the criteria set forth in 36 CFR 60.4. The project also includes performing condition assessments of the structures so as to identify critical stabilization, restoration and safety needs. The NRHP evaluation shall include a compilation of existing data previously recovered by the Forest Service on the sites, additional archival research of primary and secondary resources, field inventory of each structure, and a physical description of associated features and artifacts. This work shall result in the preparation of a professional quality (publishable) report which describes and evaluates the properties, placing them in their appropriate historic context and determining their association with important persons, events and/or design and construction or potential to yield information. The integrity of the properties shall also be discussed. Project consists of three items, listed according to priority within the body of the contract. Contract time: Item 1, 200 calendar days; Item 2, 150 calendar days; Item 3, 180 calendar days. Contract time will run consecutively.
