Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Western Region, requires a contract for inventory, packaging, transport and disposal of hazardous wastes produced by USGS laboratories in Menlo Park and Redwood City, CA. Routine and emergency services are needed to support USGS occupational health, safety and environmental programs in accordance with current OSHA, EPA, DOT and state and local statutes and regulations. Contractor shall be a registered Hazardous Waste Handler in the state of California and possess a Certificate of Compliance from the California Highway Patrol for vehicles used to haul hazardous waste. Successful offeror will be capable of responding to emergencies in Menlo Park, CA within 4 hours of notification. Preference will be given to firms capable of providing emergency services to USGS field offices located throughout the Western United States, directly or by subcontract. A time-and-materials type task order contract is contemplated. Expected performance period 10/1/2001 through 9/30/2002 with 4 one-year options to extend the contract through 9/30/2006. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business firms, NAICS Code 562112, size standard $10M average annual receipts.
