Description

Contractor(s) will provide a full range of Home Oxygen Services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, New Orleans, LA, Alexandria, LA and VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, (including Biloxi, MS., Mobile, AL., Pensacola, FL., and Panama City, FL.) The VA Medical Center reserves the right to award more than one contract for these services -- in order to cover all areas of concern. The contractor(s) will provide supplies, materials, equipment, labor, supervision, management, transportation, patient education, safety management, infection control, etc. The contractor(s), all branch offices/distribution points, subcontractors etc, MUST be accredited by JCAHO with no less than an ACCREDITATION WITH TYPE 1 RECOMMENDATIONS -at the time of the bid opening. Solicitations will be issued on or about August 20, 2001. Request for documents must be in writing. Request can be faxed to (504) 589-5289. This procurement is being done in accordance with FAR PART 12, Commerical Item. Bid opening will be held on Thursday September 20, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the VA Medical Center, bldg #2, 4th floor, Room 405, 1601 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA 70146.
