Description

The National Institute on Drug Abuse intends to negotiate with the Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) for a 12 month (with 2 additional option years) contract. This is a follow on to contract N01DA-9-2062. EIC will continue to: co nduct the yearly PRISM Awards activity, communicate on a regular basis with existing entertainment industry entities providi ng scientific information about drug abuse, increase the data base for distribution of science-based drug abuse information products within the various entertainment industries, including entertainment companies based in California, Florida, New Y ork and elsewhere in the United States, and continue updating and broadening contacts and presentations to key entertainment industry leaders. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), as set forth in 6.302-1. Inherent duplication of cost to the Governm ent and unacceptable delays in providing the required services make competition unfeasible.
