Description
The principal components of the work include, as follows; A. Removing unstable boulders varying in size from one foot to 10 feet in maximum dimension from the hillside slope above the Stampede Dam Powerplant. B. Constructing a foundation pad for the new maintenance building at El.5725.50, approximately three and one-half (3.5) feet higher than the existing ground surface, to include furnishing, placing and compacting earth materials and riprap; removing and replacing riprap; removing and reinstalling approximately 75 linear feet of 7-foot-high chain link fencing; furnishing and installing approximately 200 linear feet of new 7-foot-high chain link fencing, including one 12-foot-wide double swing gate, and one 4-foot-wide single swing gate. C. Constructing reinforced concrete foundations for the maintenance building. D. Designing, furnishing, and erecting the maintenance building (a pre-engineered metal building), including an office. E. Furnishing and installing an electrical system in the maintenance building, to include: (1) Heating and air conditioning for the office. (2) Heating for the new building. (3) An exhaust fan. (4) Lights and electrical outlets. F. Repairing flood damage in the vicinity of Stampede Dam to include: (1) Reconstructing the Stampede Dam Access Road. (2) Reconstructing the Stampede Dam Service Road. (3) Cleaning the toe drain and associated facilities. (4) Backfilling an erosion gully. (5) Reconstructing the peninsula embankment. (6) Furnishing and placing aggregate surfacing. (7) Backfilling around the control building foundation and reconstructing the adjoining embankment. Offers will be submitted as sealed bids. This acquisition provides for unrestricted competition in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. FAR Clause 52.219-4, ANotice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns@ (Jan 99) will be included in the solicitation. A contractor does not have to be a small business to submit an offer under this program. The estimated price range of this work is between $250,000 and $500,000.
