Description

Drydock and repair to NOAA Ship ALBATROSS IV -to be performed at the contractor's facility. Performance period to commence on or about November 19, 2001, and shall be completed on or before January 04, 2002 (47 calendar days). Vessels homeport is Woods Hole, Massachusetts, forseeable costs will be applied for evaluation purposes. Basic contract items include Valve Overhaul and Test; Underwater Body Coating Maintenance System; Anchor and Anchor Chain Preservation; Underwater Hull Zinc Anodes Renewal; CP Propeller and Tailshaft Inspection and others. In addition, there will be option items; Head/Shower Refurbishment; Deck Tile Replacement; Upper Hull & superstructure Preservation and others. NOAA Ship ALBATROSS IV will be available for inspection on August 31, 2001, at the Northeast Marine Support Facility, 166 Water Street, woods Hole, MA. Characteristics of NOAA Ship ALBATROSS IV: Length Overall-187 feet; Beam (molded) -- 33 feet; draft -- 16 feet; Propulsion -- Single screw, CPP, CAT D379 diesels; Electrical System -- 2 CAT SSDG's 215 KW 440VAC, 3 Phase; All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
