Description

This is a modification to the previous synopsis issued for this requirement. This modification is issued to add the o ption to purchase an additional Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor (VRC). The option quantity VRC unit would be subject to sub stantially the same design and installation terms and conditions as described in the Technical Specification of subject soli citation. Some minor design changes would be required related to siting the VRC equipment in PSNS Dry Dock 1 and an alterna tive storage site. This requirement will be procured under commercial, simplified acquisition procedures utilizing best va lue evaluation of offers. This procurement is a full and open competitive, unrestricted requirement. When the solicitation is available for download, prospective offerors should carefully review the solicitation posted at http://www.neco.navy.mil/ (then "Business Opportuni ties) (then search using the solicitation number N0040601T1181, all are "zeros" not the letter "oh"). It is anticipated tha t the solicitation will be available for download after 08 Aug 01. After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitat ion, (3) manufacturer information of proposed items and (4) ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Regist ration database (http://www.ccr.2000.com/). This is a web-based solicitation. No hard-copy solicitation/amendment documents will be distributed by the Government. The Government will not mail or fax the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments to the solicitation, if any, will be promulgated ONLY via the NECO website. Prospective quoters are responsible for checking the referenced web pag e early and periodically for any solicitation amendments.
