Description

The Smithsonian Institution is seeking proposals in response to a solicitation for physician services to implement the various health promotion programs in accordance with directives from the Occupational Health Services Division (OHSD), Office of Environmental Management and Safety (OEMS). Physicians will perform and be compensated on an hourly basis. A minimum of 16 hours per week is required. The successful Offeror shall be required to provide all necessary personnel, materials, equipment and facilities (except for that provided by the Smithsonian Institution) to perform the services as described in the solicitation documents. The majority of work shall be performed at Smithsonian Institution facilities in and around the Washington-Metropolitan area; however, some services may be required in facilities in New York, NY, Cambridge, MA, Republic of Panama and other remote areas. Should travel be required, the successful Offeror will be reimbursed for such travel on a dollar for dollar basis. Travel will be in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations as explained in the solicitation. Offerors responding to this request for proposal (RFP) must meet the following technical criteria: 1. Certification as a technical review officer; 2. Certification in occupational medicine; and, 3. Be familiar with federal government regulations and procedures.
