Description

SEARCH FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: This is a repair, restoration and replicating of Type "C" World War II Midget Attack Submarine to its original historic appearances. The project includes the preparation of engineering drawings prior to the repair, restoration and replicating of the Type "C" Midget Submarine. The replication of the missing parts shall be based on its historic photographs. The predominant exterior features of the Midget Submarine to be repaired, fabricated and replicate to its original features are the: conning tower, rudders, skegs, stabilizers, propeller guard, torpedo guard, other items (fittings, antennas, pointed projections on the aft end of the skegs and stabilizer, dive planes, rudder blades and et.) and shell plating. The estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000 with a performance period of 120 calendar days. Minimum requirements: Specialized experience in repair and restoration of WWII Military vessels, armored personnel and cargo vessels, armaments and military descriptions such as Model number, call names, etc. List of repair and restoration projects completed for the last ten years. Professional capacity to accomplish the work within the required time. Profession experience in artifact preservation of a person that will manage the project. Innovative in artistic capability to restore and replicate project features.
