Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0289 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is NOT set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 as well as DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 335912 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 1 Each, Aircraft Battery, Marathon Power Technologies, BRAND NAME ONLY, Waco, TX, Part Number: 33036-01, One 60 Ah 2 module micro-maintenance battery. CLIN-0002 3 Each, MARATHON POWER TECHNOLOGIES, BRAND NAME ONLY, Part Number 33038-001, TCA-52 Battery Modules with 60 Ah Micro-maintenance cells, which are to remain at the vendors facility for electrical performance tests. CLIN-0003 Option to buy 10 Each MARATHON POWER TECHNOLOGIES, BRAND NAME ONLY, Part Number 33036-001, Prototype 60 Ampere-Hour Micro-maintenance Aircraft Battery, for evaluation. This option MAY or MAY NOT be Exercised at the Government's discretion, and if exercised will be done so within one year of award of this order. This Delivery is required F.o.B. NSWC Crane, IN 47522 within 30 days after award. Final inspection will be at destination. Selection for award will be based on low4est delivered price for the brand name item(s) specified. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
