SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR ONE (1) THERMOVISION 1000 SENSOR PACKAGE, ONE (1) PC-DIIR FOOT, AND ONE (1) LP FILTER. DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH FLIR Systems, Inc. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to FLIR Systems, Inc., 16 Esquire Rd., North Billerica, MA 01862. This Sole Source purchase will be for the following three (3) commercial items: one (1) ThermoVision 1000 ECL Sensor Package including the following salient features: THV 1000LR Scanner with enhanced Environmental Housing, MOAD2 Digital Video Processing Board, Transport Case LR, Remote Control LR, Video Cable (7.5m), Remote Control Cable LR (7.5m), Power Supply Cable LR (7.5m), Power Supply (90-260V), Operating Manual and Warranty (1YR/5,500 hr), one (1) PC-DIIR Camera Foot (Part Number: AG193920), and one (1) LP Filter, cuton@7400nm (Part Number: AG193893). Due to specialized configuration, drawings or diagrams are not available for viewing. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the specially configured ThermoVision 1000 ECL Sensor Package, the PC-DIIR Camera Foot and the LP Filter. Responses may be mailed to AFFTC/PKE, 5 South Wolfe Ave, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185, Attention: Philip W. Cheng. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by Close of Business (COB), 23 August 01, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with FLIR Systems, Inc.
