- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Deputy Under Secretary has a requirement for NOAA Science-based Educational Toys NOAA would like to license its emblem for use on science-based educational toys depicting NOAA's atmospheric, climate, ocean and coastal science. The trademarked NOAA emblem will be licensed without the imposition of a licensing fee and the licensing of NOAA's emblem will be on a non-exclusive basis. Through this announcement, NOAA is soliciting proposals from interested toy manufacturers that want to design, produce, market, distribute, and retail items depicting NOAA-based science and operations. It is requested that toy manufacturers include educational messages, which describe the toy and the science it depicts, either as a packaging insert or printed on the back of the box. NOAA reserves the right to review the educational messages and toy concepts only for accuracy in the portrayal of NOAA science or work. All proceeds from the sale of the licensed toys will be the property of the toy manufacturer. For more information on NOAA, visit www.noaa.gov.
