Description

This procurement is hereby issued for commercial items to be used by the VA and is prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, Subpart 12.6 and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Simplified acquisition procedures apply and the VA will conduct the procurement according to a combination of Parts 12 and 13. Solicitations are being requested under Public Law 104-262, The Veterans Health Care Eligibility Reform Act of 1996 and Title 38 United States Code Section 8153, with a Commercial Items format of terms, conditions, and provisions/clauses. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5 test program. The VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas is seeking a qualified healthcare provider capable of delivering appropriate primary care services to veteran beneficiaries at contractor's community based outpatient clinic (CBOC) in a pre-existing private hospital, office, or clinic environment physically located in the city limits of Harrison, Arkansas. The Contractor shall provide medical facilities, primary care services, clerical support, physician and nursing services, routine laboratory and radiology services, and administrative functions, etc. to fulfill the level of care specified in the solicitation. Service will be at an all-inclusive per member per month capitated rate. The NAICS code is 62112 and the solicitation is 100% Set Aside for Small Business. Contract will be for a one year period with renewal options. Solicitation will be available on or about August 15, 2001. All responses to questions, which may effect offers, will be incorporated into a written amendment to the solicitation.
