Draft Synopsis for Solicitation N00600-01-X-6754 Description: The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Washington intends to award a fixed quantity fixed price contract for Mini Disc Recorder systems for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Washington Navy Yard, DC. Description and specifications are as follows: MINI DISC RECORDER SYSTEM SONY MODEL: MZR-900/D-1400 INCLUDES: A. NLS-2/MZ9 REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH (CAPABLE OF ACCEPTING AER-16-16/NT WIRELESS REMOTE B. EM-8/NT STEREO MICROPHONE PAIR WITH 4 FT LENGTH LEADS (CAPABLE OF ACCEPTING STM W-9 DIRECT MOUNTED MICROPHONE C. BH-M BODY HOLSTER AND SX-30 AMPLIFIED LOUDSPEAKER (PAIR) D. ENCLOSED IN P-1400 PELICAN WATERPROOF STORAGE CASE SPECIFICATIONS: A. RECORDS IN STEREO, MONO B. 2X STEREO AND 4X STEREO MODES C. ALL PROGRAMMING MODES SHALL BE PERFORMED FROM THE FUNCTIONAL STANDARD KEYBOARD D. RECORDER SHOULD UTILIZE INDUSTRY STANDARD ADTRAC-4 COMPRESSION SCHEME E. ALL MODIFICATIONS SHALL BE REVERSABLE TO ALLOW FOR SONY MANUFACTURER WARRANTEE SERVICE QUANTITY: 100 The SIC code for this requirement is 3651. This will be a 100% small business set-aside. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is August 13, 2001. Evaluation factors will be price and the technical ability of the items offered to meet the Government requirement. Award will not be made to an offeror whose proposal is technically unacceptable.
