Description
This proposed procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code 2819/NAICS 325188; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Quicklime shall meet AWWA Standard B202-93, " to " in size, delivered in bulk, highly reactive, freshly burned, substantially free of ash, dirt, hard unburned stone and foreign matter. This product shall be certified as suitable for contact with or treatment of drinking water by an accredited certified organization in accordance with ANSI/NSF Standard 60, Drinking Water Chemical -- Health Effects. The total estimated quantity delivered over the course of the contract is 3,200 tons. Contract is for one year period beginning 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. The total estimated amount is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.000. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors' requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI. Contractors may register to be placed on the Bidders/Offerors mailing lists by going to the website: http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. In order to comply with Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract.
