Description

In conjunction with the Department of Defense's Acquisition and Logistics Excellence Week (ALEW), the Air Armament Center (AAC) will be hosting ALEW activities on Monday, 10 September 2001 and Tuesday, 11 September 2001. The theme for this year's event is "Moving From Acquisition Reform to Acquisition Excellence". AAC activities for Monday will consist of presentations/discussions on Total System Performance Responsibility, DoD 5000, and Developmental Testing/Operational Testing by distinguished guests, AAC leadership and industry participants. These activities will be held in the Eglin Conference Center (Bldg 16) and are scheduled from 0900-1130. Tuesday's activity will be the Acquisition Knowledge Game, predicated on the "Weakest Link" television show. This activity will be held at the Base Theater (Bldg 1763) and is scheduled from 0830-1200. Representatives from industry are invited to attend AAC's ALEW activities. In order to ensure seating is available for those who would like to attend, please submit all attendee's name, mailing address, email address, and phone number to Mr Bob Macky at AAC/PKA, 205 West D Avenue, Suite 433, Eglin AFB FL 32542-6864 not later than 24 August 2001. In addition, industry representatives are encouraged to submit acquisition reform related questions that they would like presented to the presenters.
