Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is RFQ-679088, and is being conducted as a total small business set-aside under the procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13 (test program). The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334220, the size standard is 750 employees. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to award a firm-fixed price type contract. The required microwave antennas, technical specifications, and quantities are shown in the attachment to this solicitation. =20 The provision at FAR Clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors (OCT 2000) and addendum is incorporated into this solicitation. ADDENDUM to 52.212-1, Modify: (b) Submission from offer(s) is to read as follows: "Submit signed and dated offer(s) to the attention of Mr. James F. Driscoll, Contracting Officer, RFQ-679088, FBI Engineering Research Facility, Bldg #27958A, Quantico VA 22135. The quote may be sent via facsimile to (703) 632-6103. The contractor shall provide three names, addresses, telephone and facsimile numbers of previous contracts, either Government or Commercial, from similar type contracts, for the purpose of evaluating Past Performance." Add: 52.202-1 -- DEFINITIONS (MARCH 2001); 52.204-4 -- PRINTED OR COPIES DOUBLE-SIDED ON RECYCLED PAPER (AUG 2000); 52.215-5 -- FACSIMILE PROPOSALS (OCT 1997).
