Description

The U.S. Marshals Service requires 300 bed spaces -- medium to maximum security -- within an 8 hour one way drive of the Federal District Court in Washington, D.C. These bed spaces are required to house and detain federal pre-trial detainees. These spaces are needed by November 1, 2001. Potential sources that have the capability to provide some or all of the requ ired bed spaces and which have the capability to provide the transportation are requested to submit information by August 24 , 2001, demonstrating their capability to provide the required services. This information should be in the form of a letter no more than 2 pages long detailing the site where the facility(s) is located, when the beds will be available and any othe r pertinent information.
