Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to make Solicitation No. DACW61-01-R-0043 available for viewing and downloading by potential contractors on or about 13-August-2001 at the following website: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil. NO TELEPHONE OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED -- prospective contractors are responsible for accessing the web site and downloading/printing the Solicitation. The referenced Solicitation will be requesting proposals from prospective contractors for the lease of equipment, together with all necessary licensed personnel to operate such equipemnt, to be used for the dewatering of the Oldman's Containment Facility, Salem County, New Jersey. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: The dewatering process will consist of cutting interior drainage ditches throughout the approximately 300-acre site. Required equipment includes a marsh buggy (or similar amphibious vehicle) having a foot print of 0.35 p.s.i. or less, capable of operating in marshy areas, with an attached ditching machine capable of cutting ditches with one (1) foot wide bottom, three (3) to four (4) foot top and approximately four (4) feet deep. The equipment and personnel supplied must be sufficient to complete the work within approximately 4 weeks after the order to proceed is issued by the Government. The order to proceed is expected to be given on or about 04-Sep-2001. CLOSING DATE: Prospective contractors must submit a responsive proposal not later than COB 29-August-2001 to: Elizabeth Goetz, Contract Specialist, CENAP-CT-S, USACE, Philadelphia District, Wanamaker Building, 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA 19107-3390. The Government will evaluate proposals received using the following factors: (i) technical capability of proposed equipment/personnel to meet the Government requirement; (ii) safety record; (iii) price; (iv) past performance; and (v) small business participation. As required by DFAR 252.204-7004, prospective contractors must be listed in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for award. Prospective contractors can call the telephone number 1-888-227-2423 or access the internet site at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil for information on listing in the CCR. This solicitation will be issued as unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 235930 and the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 7353.
