- MT PFH 59-1(1), BEARTOOTH HIGHWAY, Yellowstone National Park, Park County, Montana. This project will be bid with a Base schedule plus 3 Options. This work consists of 14.2 km of grading, base, asphalt concrete pavement, and drainage. The project consists of construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; permanent traffic control devices; temporary traffic control; 11,200 m silt fence; 15,000 cu m watering for dust control; 42 ha clearing & grubbing; removal of 80 signs; removal of 4 gates; 282,000 cu m excavation & embankment; 17,700 sq m earthwork geotextiles; 17,000 sq m roadway obliteration; 48,500 cu m subexcavation; 80,000 cu m select borrow; 9,800 cu m riprap; 300 sq m reinforced concrete retaining walls; 191,900 ton untreated aggregate courses; 10,300 ton minor crushed aggregate; 67,000 ton emulsified asphalt treated base course; 29,250 ton hot asphalt concrete pavement; 300 ton asphalt prime coat; 60 ton asphalt tack coat; 13,000 sq m asphalt pavement milling; 40 cu m minor concrete structures; 2,900 m round pipe; 81 m pipe arches; 92 m box culverts; 2,410 m underdrains; 670 m outlet pipe; 780 m asphalt curb; 50 m lob curb; 6,350 m guardrail; 17 ha topsoil; 22 ha turf establishment; 80,000 m permanent pavement markings; 8,000 flagger hrs; 800 pilot car hrs; 240 day traffic & safety supervisor; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 134 km east of Gardiner, Montana. Work shall be completed by September 30, 2004. Estimated price range for Base schedule is between $5 million and $10 million; estimated price range for Base schedule plus all Options is over $10 million. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at prime rate.
