Description

PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTERING ON OUR WEBSITE. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intend to procure the construction of a new bulkhead and related work along the Passaic River in Newark, NJ from Station 24+48.76 to Station 37+10. The bulkhead will be constructed of steel sheet piling, steel piles, anchor tiebacks, and concrete cap. Drainage outlets and an outfall structure through the bulkhead will be provided. Installation of the bulkhead will require demolition of existing wood or timber structures, chain link fence, and a concrete headwall for an outfall structure. The project will also require excavation of material, including contaminated sediment from the Passaic River. The estimated date for the availability of web and CD-ROM solicitation and is on or about 24 August 2001. The estimated date for bid opening will be on or about 24 September 2001 at 11:00 AM EST at US Army Corps of Engineers, 26 Federal Plaza, Room 1843, New York, NY 10278-0090.
